Hao Zhu was born in Shanxi Province, China, in 1988 and received his Ph.D. in 2016 from Dalian University of Technology (China) under the supervision of Professor Xiaojun Peng.
He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Akimitsu Okamoto’s research group in the University of Tokyo.
In 2017, he joined Professor Itaru Hamachi’s laboratory in Kyoto University as a postdoctoral researcher.
From 2017 to 2019, he was supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) postdoctoral fellowship.
In 2020, he was promoted to an assistant professor in the Hamachi laboratory.
His research interests include chemical proteomics and chemical biology.
